Welcome to Sew Fish

Welcome!  My name is Sue Wilson and I would love to introduce you to the wonderful world of Cotton Theory!  I have worked for Betty Cotton since July, 2007 and have been teaching Cotton Theory since 2004.  Cotton Theory is a "quilt first, then assemble" technique which allows you to quilt a block at a time, then join them with patented folded seams....a reversible quilt ready for the bed!

In 2009, I was invited by Judy Niemeyer to become one of her first certified teachers!  Judy designs incredible foundation paper pieced quilts that look complex but do not require advanced sewing skills (because of Judy's innovative techniques).  See more of Judy's designs at www.quiltworx.com

Teaching  Cotton Theory  and Judy Niemeyer's paper piecing has taken me from the East Coast to the West Coast,  allowing me to meet many wonderful quilters on my journeys.   Please  contact me if you would like to discuss scheduling a class for you, your friends, your shop or your guild!

Our business, Sew Fish, also includes my husband "Flip", who has guided fishermen from Ohio to Alaska.   HIs very effective and economical trout and salmon flies are also featured on this site.  You may contact him through this site as well.
